The Bill (Reg. No.0094) envisages ratification of the Agreement, pursuant to which the loan in the amount of 140 mln USD is to be allocated for the most urgent investment projects in the field of water supply, drainage system and recycling of domestic refuse within the scope of an extended program and with coverage of the biggest possible number of housing and communal enterprises of Ukraine. It will promote steadfast activity of housing and communal enterprises as regards rendering of quality communal services, as well as improve environmental situation.
The Loan Agreement (the Project of Urban Infrastructure Development) between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development was signed on 26 May 2008 in Kyiv.
The loan in the amount of 140 mln USD is to be allocated for the most urgent investment projects in the field of water supply, drainage system and recycling of domestic refuse within the scope of an extended program and with coverage of the biggest possible number of housing and communal enterprises of Ukraine.
The Project consists of "basic" and "open" components. Odesa, Chernihiv and Ivano-Frankivsk constitute the "basic" component. The "open" component envisages implementation of a number of small energy-saving investment projects within the scope of an extended project in the housing and communal sector of Ukraine.
A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No. 0094.
